Pray for Annunciation.

Without prayer, there is no way Annunciation could have gotten this far.  Please continue to pray for us as we pray for you.

Organize a volunteer trip to New Orleans.

To reach the goals for the year, we will need over 3,000 volunteers.  Remember, volunteers can work in house rebuilding, tutoring, relief distribution, and other areas.

Show the Annunciation DVD to church and community groups.

Annunciation needs more volunteers like you and your group. The best way to get others to come down to Broadmoor is to show them why the mission is important. Screening the “Annunciation Lives” DVD and speaking about your experience will help our volunteer base grow.

Get the media interested in your story.

Newspapers, magazines, and TV and radio stations from your area may be interested to know that your group spent time rebuilding in New Orleans. Look up contact information for your local paper online, and send them information about your trip so they can feature your group in an article or news snippet. Or, write up and submit your own article and photos to a community newsletter. News stories and publicity about your trip will make the experience more worthwhile for participants when they return home, and it’ll also help Annunciation get the word out about the mission.

Invite Duane to speak to your community.

Now that you’ve come to participate in Annunciation Mission, Annunciation can come to you. Duane and others have traveled all over the country to inspire volunteers to embark upon missions of service, to speak about their model of faith-based rebuilding, and to thank community groups for their devotion and support. Contact Duane Nettles at (504)895-8697 or duane@annunciationbroadmoor.org.

Document your experience and share your reflections.

Photos, e-mails, and journal entries will help you remember the work you’ve done and share it with others. Start a “Mission” section on your church or organization’s web site and post pictures, videos, testimonials and quotes from your trip to Annunciation. You can also consider blogging your trip using free sites like www.blogspot.com. Be sure to send Annunciation a link!

Make a financial contribution

In addition to the volunteers, we will need to raise $500,000 this year to continue our efforts to rebuild Broadmoor and surrounding neighborhoods.
