Restoring Lives in New Orleans

The Annunciation Mission was formed in response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina and the flood that followed. In the past four years, thousands of missioners and volunteers have arrived and served one of the hardest hit neighborhoods in New Orleans.

Every step of the way, AM has focused on restoring lives through relief supplies, gutting houses, home reconstruction, tutoring neighborhood kids, and meals to the elderly. AM seeks to follow the call of Jesus Christ to transform and redeem lives. It is about much more than just hammer and nails. It is about the Gospel.

AM not only serves her neighbors, but God has also called AM to help bring about transformation and renewal to her partners. Partner ministries that come to AM seek to

become outwardly-focused.
build community among small groups.
revitalize their church
have a safe and structured place for youth groups
be a first step before participating in international
missions

AM is a Mission in a Box. We provide everything you
need:

Work projects
A place of worship, prayer, and meditation
Native New Orleans meals
Comfortable and clean rooms
and even hot showers!

Come and transform this great city!
Come and be transformed!
